EPHRAIM IS A MULTITUDE OF PEOPLE

THE EXILES ARE
SCATTERED AMONG THE NATIONS
Zechariah 7:12 Yea, they made their hearts as an adamant stone, lest they should hear the Torah and the words which the LORD of hosts has sent in his spirit by the former prophets: therefore came a great wrath from the LORD of hosts.
Zechariah 7:14 But I scattered them with a whirlwind among all the nations whom they knew not. Thus the land was desolate after them that no man passed through nor returned: for they laid the pleasant land desolate.

THE SCATTERED SHEEP

YESHUA IS THE GOOD SHEPHERD

THE KINGDOM IS THE MESSIANIC ERA
Daniel 7:13 I saw in the night visions and behold, one like the Son of man came with the clouds of heaven and came to the Ancient of days and they brought him near before him.
Daniel 7:14 And there was given him dominion and glory and a kingdom that all people, nations, and languages should serve him: his dominion is an everlasting dominion which shall not pass away and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed.

Acts 1:6 When they therefore were come together, they asked of him, saying, Lord, will you at this time restore again the kingdom to Israel?

THE DISEASE IS BREAKING TORAH

Jeremiah 31:20 Is Ephraim my dear son? is he a pleasant child? for since I spake against him, I do earnestly remember him still: therefore my bowels are troubled for him; I will surely have mercy upon him, says the LORD.
THE REDEMPTION IS

EPHRAIM COMMITS HARLOTRY

THE PRODIGAL SON (EPHRAIM) IS RECEIVED WITH THE JOY OF A WEDDING

THE OLDER SON (JUDAH)
HEARS MUSIC AND DANCING
Luke 15:25 Now his elder son [Judah] was in the field: and as he came and drew nigh to the house, he heard music and dancing
Luke 15:26 And he called one of the servants and asked what these things meant.
THE OLDER SON (JUDAH) BELIEVES THAT HE IS FOLLOWING TORAH
Luke 15:27 And he said unto him, Your brother [Ephraim] is come [returned to Torah]; and your father has killed the fatted calf because he has received him safe and sound.
Luke 15:28 And he was angry and would not go in: therefore came his father out and intreated him.
Luke 15:29 And he answering said to his father, Lo, these many years do I serve thee [by following Torah], neither transgressed I at any time thy commandment [I followed Torah faithfully]: and yet you never gave me a kid that I might make merry with my friends [blessed me for following Torah]
LESSON SUMMARY
Ephraim is the prodigal son
Ephraim went into harlotry and idolatry
In exile, Ephraim fed on swine (departed from Torah)
Because of a famine in the land (spiritual starvation), Ephraim decided to repent and return to his father
The father received the repentance of Ephraim and celebrated with the joy of a wedding

The older son (Judah) was in the field and didn’t realize or recognize when his younger brother (Ephraim) returned home

THE NATION OF ISRAEL
IS BLIND AND LAME

THE LITERAL HOUSE OF JACOB

‘WALKING’ IS A HEBRAIC IDIOM FOR FOLLOWING TORAH
Deuteronomy 8:6 Therefore you shall keep the commandments of the LORD your God, to walk in his ways and to fear him.
Psalm 119:1 Blessed are the undefiled in the way who walk in the Torah of the LORD.

THE INGATHERING OF
THE EXILES IS RESTORATION
Jeremiah 30:10 Therefore fear thou not, O my servant Jacob, saith the LORD; neither be dismayed, O Israel: for, lo, I will save you from afar and your seed from the land of their captivity and Jacob shall return and shall be in rest and be quiet and none shall make him afraid.

THE BLIND MAN IS ‘RESTORED’
Mark 8:25 After that he put his hands again [second coming of Yeshua] upon his eyes and made him look up [for redemption and the return of Yeshua]: and he was restored [to Yeshua and to Torah] and saw every man clearly [his spiritual eyesight became clear].
LESSON SUMMARY
Bethsaida means ‘house of fish’
Yeshua healed a blind man (which represents the nation of Israel) in Bethsaida
When the blind man (the nation of Israel) received his sight (which represents following Torah) he saw ‘men as trees walking’
The eyes of the blind man (the nation of Israel) was touched a second time by Yeshua (which represents his second coming) and the blind man (the nation of Israel) was restored (believing in Yeshua as the Messiah, following Torah and the end of the exile)
FEEDING THE MULTITUDE WITH FIVE LOAVES AND TWO FISHES
John 6:5 When Yeshua then lifted up his eyes, and saw a great company [multitude] come unto him, he saith unto Philip, Where shall we buy bread, that these may eat?
