Yeshua
in Hebrew means ‘salvation’ |
We are saved
by grace through faith |
Torah is
a tree of life |
Torah is
wisdom and understanding |
Torah is more desired than gold |
We learn the Torah ‘line upon line’ and ‘precept
upon precept’ (Isaiah 28:9-10) |
Torah is communicated through the following
methods: |
Parables (Psalm 78:1-4, Mark 4:10-13) |
Deep / Dark Sayings / Mysteries (Proverbs 1:1-6,
1 Corinthians 2:6-10, 14) |
Spiritual
Blueprints / Shadows (Ezekiel 43:10-12, Colossians 2:16-17) |
The
four primary levels of understanding Torah is: |
Peshat - Literal |
Remez – Hint, Allusion |
Derash – “Drawn out”. From the same root as
“Midrash”. Parables, Implicit, Homiletic, Exegesis. |
Sod – Spiritual, Mystical |
The New Covenant is a Torah based covenant. |
The older covenant is the Torah written upon a heart
of stone. A heart of stone can’t overcome the desires of the flesh and doesn’t
follow Torah. |
The new covenant is the Torah written upon a heart
of flesh. The indwelling Holy Spirit is the true teacher of Torah. The indwelling Holy Spirit gives us the
power, encouragement and desire to follow Torah. |
YHVH found fault with the hearts of the people.
He didn’t fault find with the Torah itself |
From
the Parable of the Sower: |
Stony
Heart: |
Receives the Word with gladness |
Satan steals the Word sown in their hearts |
No root and endures for a time |
Through affliction and persecution, they become
offended at the Word sown in their hearts |
The Holy Spirit gives us a heart of flesh. |
The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Truth. Truth is
the Torah or Word of YHVH. |
We are able to bear fruit in our lives for the
Kingdom of YHVH through the help of the Holy Spirit. |
Yeshua
is the lawgiver |
We are
to follow Yeshua by obeying His written Torah with the help of the Holy
Spirit |
Torah is
the Will of YHVH |
Torah is
to be kept forever |
