          Moshe/Moses descended from the tribe of Levi. 

In Exodus 6:16 it is written:

"And these are the names of the sons of Levi according to their 
generations; Gershon, and Kohath and Merari"

In Exodus 6:18 it  is written:

"And the sons of Kohath, Amram ..."

In Exodus 6:20 it is written:

"And Amram took him Jochebed his father's sister to wife: and she 
bare him Aaron and Moses ..."

        Levi was one of the 12 sons of Jacob. Levi's son was Kohath. 
Kohath's son was Amram. Amram's son was Moses.
