Subject: End of the Age of Grace

Dear Eddie,

Could you and anyone else please address what is meant by the End of
the Age of Grace. I understand that this will happen at the fullness of
the Gentiles and that God will return his focus to Israel. What I don't
understand is what that means for the Gentiles, then. Thanks.

Shalom,

Catherine Dixon

According to DISPENSATIONAL doctrine in Christianity, they
say that BEFORE Yeshua/Jesus was the "AGE OF LAW". Since Yeshua/Jesus
we are living in the "AGE OF GRACE". Dispensationalists (those that
are pre-trib) teach that the ENTIRE CHURCH ( all believer's in
Yeshua/Jesus as Messiah) will be raptured at the beginning of the
tribulation. This they say, ends the "AGE OF GRACE". Then, God turns
His focus to the nation of Israel during the tribulation where God
will save the nation and they will receive Yeshua/Jesus as Messiah.

This is probably what you have heard as your refer to the
"end of the age of grace".

This DISPENSATIONAL thinking comes from a lack of
understanding regarding who God is and what is contained in the OT.
It implies that the OT was the "age of law" when in fact OVER and
OVER the OT teaches us about the GRACE of God. I have posted articles
on this newsgroup in the past showing the OT scriptures which tell us
that God acted by His GRACE. The Hebrew word that best describes the
Christian understanding and viewpoint of GRACE "Chaysayd" which is
the Strong's Word (2617) and is most commonly translated in our
Bible as lovingkindness or mercy.

In Psalm 118:1 it is written:

"O give thanks unto the Lord: for he is good: because his MERCY
(2617) endures FOREVER"

MERCY (2617 = Chaysayd) is GRACE. God's GRACE lasts
FOREVER.

God redeemed the children of Israel out of Egypt by His
GRACE. They NEVER DESERVED it. But, God remembered His
covenant with Abraham and called Moses to deliver the children of
Israel from the bondage of Pharoah.

AFTER God "saved" them from Egypt by His GRACE/MERCY,
THEN He took them to Mount Sinai and showed them HOW to live their
lives as a REDEEMED PEOPLE.

So, we have GRACE first and then LAW (Torah). We see the
same thing in the NT. FIRST, God saves us by His GRACE. Then, we are
told to keep His commandments (teaches us how to live) (John 14:15).

IF the "age of Grace" is ended at the rapture, then HOW
are all the people during the tribulation going to get "saved" if ALL
people are saved by GRACE ??? If the Holy Spirit / Ruach HaKodesh is
"removed" by the pre-trib rapture of the entire church, then how can
anyone say that "Jesus is Lord but by the Holy Spirit" ??
(I Cor 12:3) if the Holy Spirit is "gone" when the church is raptured
pre-trib.

So, dispensational Christian doctrine comes from a
Greco/Roman mindset of interpreting the scriptures without a
understanding of our Hebraic/Jewish Roots and understanding the God
and ALWAYS been a God of GRACE AND TRUTH.

In Psalm 85:10 it is written:

"MERCY AND TRUTH are met together ..."

MERCY is GRACE and TRUTH is the Torah (Psalm 119:142)

Furthermore, by reading my book (Catherine you already
have) (Who is the Bride of Christ?), you will see that the Bride is
"spiritually mature, has an intimate relationship with God, is an
overcomer and will teach the Torah to the nations with the Messiah in
the Messianic age" and is not everybody who decides to say
the "sinner's prayer" and doesn't fully commit their lives to God but
instead has one foot in church and one foot in the world will be the
bride of Messiah.

So, the end of the "age of grace" is unbiblical if the
MERCY / GRACE of God is FOREVER.

                                                       Eddie Chumney

i not saying that the 613 laws was not from G-d. what i was saying is
that Moses did not make the 613 laws if i have read correctly. What i
was wanting was who wrote the 613 laws. some was by Moses yes, but for
many centuries there was laws that were added to the books and i could
not find out who wrote some of the laws. This is not a slam to any one
just wanting to know if there was a book written on who wrote the laws
(613) when and where they were written. Some of the writings which may
or may not be correct have said that the laws were about 800 years
being put into the book. if so who was the writers. paul. just trying
to learn.

The 613 law are derived from the commandments in the
first five books of the Bible. They were not derived from a
extraneous source. If you would like to see a listing of the 613
commandments to verify that they all came from the first five books
of the Bible, please go to the my Web site:
http://www.geocities.com/Heartland/2175/sab_fest.html

and look under the section (Shavuot / Pentecost).

I hope that this anwers your question.
