Dear Eddie,
I have an acre of land, and will be building a sukkot if I can figure
it out. If anyone in my neck of the woods would like to get
together for the feast, please contact me! There is plenty of space
for lots of tents!
I live in Northern California, in Paradise. Please feel free to call
me at 530 872-0491 or 530 872-0104. There are lots of pine trees on
my place, and it would be a wonderful thing to celebrate the feast together!
Shalom and Blessings to all!

REPLY: Information on our Sukkot Festival:
ANNOUNCEMENT...
Etz Chayim-Tree of Life Messianic Congregation of Las Cruces have the
pleasure of announcing our plans for holding a Sukkot-Tabernacles
celebration from Friday evening September 20, 2002 through Saturday
morning September 28, 2002. We will be holding the meetings at our
building in Las Cruces, New Mexico. Our building is located in
downtown Las Cruces and is convenient to major highways in and out of
Las Cruces. There are motels of all types and price ranges within easy
driving distance.
We plan on opening the Sukkot-Tabernacles celebration with an Erev
Shabbat service Friday evening the 20th and closing with a Shabbat
service on Saturday morning the 28th. In between we are scheduling a
variety of teachings for the adults and looking forward to having
various activities for the youth. We are planning on beginning each
day with lunch at noon followed by a time of teaching. Then we are
looking toward gathering together for dinner and a time of praise and
worship afterward closing in a time of prayer for the day.
We are looking for and welcome those who would like to present
teachings on various subjects of a Messianic nature and for those who
can volunteer their time to help with the youth of various ages.
If you would like to volunteer your services as a teacher for the
adults or youth or as a helper in some way, shape or form please drop
us a line via the following means:
e-mail: treelife@etz-chayim.org
Phone: 505-382-1093 or 505-644-7706
snail mail: PO Box 467, Organ, NM 88052
Las Cruces, NM is located via I-10 east or west bound and off I-25
north or south bound in southcentral New Mexico. Our climate that time
of year is sunny with daytime temperatures in the 70's to low 80's
with pleasant evenings. Things to see in the area are Old Mesilla,
White Sands National Monument, the Organ Mountains and much much more.
We invite you to come and join with us in celebrating one of God's
Moedim-Appointed Times which many believe is a shadow of the Mssianic
Age to come.
You will need transportation to get around Las Cruces. There is no fee
for attending the celebration but offerings will be accepted to help
with food cost, speakers and praise and worship leaders Lenny and
Varda Harris. Accomodations must be made by the attendees. All the
major motel operators have facilities in Las Cruces so there are a
variety of price ranges available. Las Cruces does have a web site and
a Chamber of Commerce that may be able to help you in your
arrangements.

Shalom Eddie.
As part of the leadership of Beth Am
Echad Messianic Congregation (Reno/Sparks, Nevada), we
usually have something good to offer for The Feasts.
This year, however, because we just moved, we find
ourselves without any venue--as yet--for Tabernacles. My
wife and I have headed a ministry, LORD's Talents, for
almost 5 years and do have something to offer the rest
of believers. We have a play called "The Feast of
Tabernacles: a work in progress" which has been a
blessing to many. Five people came to the LORD when we
first did it. Last year, with the urging of the Holy
Spirit, we did a rewrite which included a complete
Jewish marriage ceremony. That + Jesus in the play, the
crucifixtion, the drama, the dance, as well as the
decorated Succa... all made for a thorough blessing. It
is copyrighted, although not published as yet. If there
is anyone out there who would like to try to produce it -
(as a sweet and acceptable offering to the LORD) -- or,
if you would like our help to produce it -- please let
us know. We wish every one a happy and healthy New
Year. May we all say, "Next year in Jerusalem."
In Christ, Yeshua,
for the leadership of Beth Am Echad and LORD's Talents,
Hy Kozak

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Sukkot Northwest ~ Feast of Tabernacles ~ 2002
at SunRiver, Oregon
September 22-30th
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Come celebrate the Feast of Tabernacles with us in beautiful Central
Oregon.
Rejoice at your festival
Deut / Devarim 16:14
SunRiver is located on the Deschutes River in Central Oregon between
the towns of Bend and LaPine, near Mt. Bachelor, the Cascade Lakes and
some of the most scenic country in Oregon. SunRiver is Oregon's
premier luxury resort with its own golf courses, country store and
mall, and private airport with accommodations ranging from lodge rooms
and condos to executive homes.
Sukkot: Begins at sunset on Sunday evening, September 22nd through
Sunday evening September 29th. Shemini Azeret (The Eighth Day): Sunset
Sunday evening, September 29th to Sunset Monday, September 30th
Simchat Torah: before we head for home, Tuesday morning, October 1st
We begin each day with prayer, a morning service and teaching. On the
three Shabbats of this festival (the first day of Sukkot, Shemini
Azeret, and the weekly 7th day Shabbat) we will gather for Erev
Shabbat as well as afternoon teaching sessions. On the other days,
our afternoons are free time from lunch through dinner and we will
gather for one or two teaching workshops each evening, as well as open
late-night Torah studies for those who are late nighters. We hope to
have Hebrew and Dance sessions each day.
We have lots of fun learning activities planned for the kids. Parents
please bring quiet activities for your children who are too young to
participate in the learning activities. Bat/Bar Mitzvah age young
adults and up will attend with adults or they can help with the
children's activities.
We have rented two large homes side-by-side at SunRiver for our main
meeting facility. We begin on September 22nd at 6 pm with a welcome
Erev Shabbat reception. We will send you specifics when you register.
Lodging. To help offset some of the costs of renting these facilities,
some folks will be staying in these two homes. Some spots are still
currently available. In the second home there are bunkroom beds
available to single women at $225 for the nine nights ($25/night
). This room has a shared bathroom. All rooms will share the kitchen,
washer/dryer, and hot tub with the others in this house. A
kitchen schedule will be posted so each room has a
specified time each day for cooking times. If you want to stay in one
of these rooms in this home, contact us as soon as possible. If you
are in need of a roommate/roomates, please let us know and we will try
to put you in touch with others. Otherwise, please make your own
lodging arrangements.
That time of year many of the homes and condos in SunRiver are on
special -- stay for 4 nights, pay for 2. We are staying 9 nights
and paying for 4.5... a great savings and it puts many of the homes
and condos (complete with kitchens and washer/dryers) at less than an
inexpensive hotel room. Ask for this special when you call the
realty companies to make reservations. We used Sunset Realty at
1-800-541-1756.
If you want to camp, we are suggesting LaPine State Campground, Loop
G, which is about 15 minutes from SunRiver. There are cabins, yurts
and campsites available with full hookups and bathroom/shower
facilities. Please be aware that the handicap bathrooms are a
port-a-potty located outside the handi-cap access Yurt and the
standard bathrooms may be a bit tight for pregnant women and plus-size
people. It is a well-maintained and very clean state campground. An
ice machine is located in Loop F. The day use area has Deschutes River
access and a nice area to swim in. There are some folks who are
planning to camp. Reservations are recommended. See
http://www.oregonstateparks.org/park_41.php
Currently no campfires are allowed at LaPine. If we don't get
adequate September rains, this may still be in place for Sukkot, so
you will want to have a gas or propane campstove for cooking. Bring
WARM clothing and sleeping bags for nights and early mornings.
Please plan to contribute snacks to the snack table as well as plenty
of food to share on Friday evening at our Erev Shabbat Fellowship
Meal, as well as a non-returnable decoration(s) for the Sukkah
(there are deer and wildlife in the area, so we cannot guarantee it
will be preserved to return to you). SunRiver is full of biking
trails, bring your bikes or they are available for rent also. There
are numerous golf courses throughout the Bend-Redmond-Sisters area,
including at SunRiver, so if you are a golfer, bring your clubs. The
area offers hiking; whitewater rafting; kayaking; flyfishing,
horseback riding; the High Desert Museum; and beautiful drives,
swimming and picnicing along the Cascade Lakes Scenic Highway. The
days are warm (60's & 70's) but the nights can be at freezing or
below.
Please dress with modesty in mind. Do not wear clothing that would be
considered distracting such as tight clothing, very short skirts
or shorts, bare shoulders, midrifts or cleavage. Plan to dress up for
Shabbats and the remainder of the week nice casual will be the norm.
There is a limit this year on the amount of people because of space
requirements, so get your registrations in early. Mail in
registrations by Sunday, September 8. Please call 1-503-570-3376 if
after that date. It would be wise to call or e-mail first to confirm
there is still space available.
Registration is $30/ adult 16 and older, $15/ children 4-15 years old,
and a maximum of $80 per family to help cover budgeted costs (but
not the meeting facilities). If this is a hardship for anyone, please
let us know. Offerings will be accepted. Please plan to attend the
full 8-day celebration (9/22-9/30) as this is not a drop-in feast
site.
To register: please send us your name, address, phone number, e-mail
address and the names and number of people attending with you and
whether they are an adult 16 and older or a child. The ages of your
children will be helpful for planning purposes. Mail to: Hoshana
Rabbah, PO Box 641, Wilsonville, OR 97070. Make checks payable to
Hoshana Rabbah.
Questions: Call Nathan or Sandi Lawrence at (503) 570-3376 or e-mail

would like to welcome folks to come and join us at Lake Murry
