NO NEWSGROUP UNTIL JANUARY 2001
AND
THE CONCLUSION OF ANOTHER YEAR
Dear Mishpochah (family):
WOW! It justs seems like about two winks ago that we were all
wondering about the new year and Y2K and now in blitzkreig fashion
the year 2000 is about to come to a close.
It has been a blessed year for Hebraic Heritage Ministries Int'l
as well as a year of transition.
This November was the fourth year anninversary of the Hebraic
Heritage newsgroup. We have had over 6,000 members subscribe to the
newsgroup since that time. Literally, the G-d of Israel is blessing
the ministry and allowing us to bless so many lives all over the
WORLD with the message of our rich Hebraic Heritage in Messiah and
encouraging believers in Messiah to embrace the Torah, Sabbath, the
Festivals and the restoration of both houses of Israel while having a
love for the Jewish people, the land of Israel and the city of
Jerusalem.
A
YEAR OF TRANSITION
This year, Hebraic Heritage Ministries Int'l started to see the
"Word of the Lord" come to pass which was given to me (Eddie Chumney)
about 10 years ago. At that time, the Lord spoke to my heart and told
me that there would be three main places in my walk with the Lord in
serving him. First would be teaching Hebraic roots in my local area.
Second would be teaching Hebraic roots in NY. The third and my final
resting place would be in the land of Israel.
The work in my local area was fulfilled when the Lord opened up a
door for me to teach three home Bible studies from January 1993
through October 1996. During this time, I was able to fellowship with
a home fellowship group celebrating the Shabbat on Friday nights.
Then, in the spring of 1994, a door opened up to share with a local
church on a weekly basis teachings on our Hebraic roots encouraging
them to keep the Biblical Festivals while giving light to the
understanding of the scriptures from a Hebraic perspective.
This association with this local church in my area
came to an end in the spring / summer 2000 when the Lord began to
open a door that He spoke to my heart 10 years ago in my walk with
Him and in my service unto His for the glory of His Kingdom. This
second step was to go to NY and teach about our rich Hebraic Heritage
in Messiah in the NY area. In order to do this, it required a
committment on my part and on behalf of the ministry to travel
between my home in Ohio and NY on a virtual weekly basis. This year,
I have made 20 trips to NY.
During these trips, a STRONG RELATIONSHIP has been made with a
Pastor in Freeport, NY and we are working together with the goal of
imparting the understanding of our rich Hebraic Heritage in Messiah
including Torah, Sabbath, Festivals, the restoration of both houses
of Israel and a love for the Jewish people and the land of Israel to
this church and other churches in the NY / Long Island area. To this
end, I am concluding teaching a 13 week course on Tuesday
nights on the Biblical Festivals. It is our plan that this Festivals class will
be repeated on Thursday nights beginning in April 2001 and the Festivals class
will be followed by another 13 week class on Torah, Sabbath, the
7,000 year plan of God and the restoration of both houses of Israel
following the Thursday night class on the Festivals. The purpose of
these classes is to impart a foundation of teaching so that eventually
entire congregations will be taught about our rich Hebraic heritage
in Messiah and the information taught in these classes will be able
to be imparted unto Pastors who can then teach these things to their
congregations.
A NEED FOR
A NOTEBOOK PC
Because of the transition to begin to do the work in NY which the
Lord spoke to my heart about 10 years ago and in order to be able to
continue to send out the Hebraic Heritage newsgroup on a regular
basis, I needed to purchase a notebook PC for the ministry. The Lord
saw the need and put upon the hearts of various newsgroup members to
contribute to this effort and a notebook PC was able to be purchased
and the newsgroup has been able to continue while I am still going to
NY on a weekly basis.
Furthermore, during the summer, I asked our newsgroup members to
contribute to this work in NY on a monthly basis if the Lord laid it
upon your heart to do so. I am blessed and pleased to report that the
Lord (however --- He uses people) has blessed HHMI and every need has
been met including the expenses to go to NY and do the work with the
Lord called me to do about 10 years go. May ALL glory go to the God
of Israel and I want to thank our newsgroup members who give to the
work in NY on a regular basis to make this all possible.
A
YEAR END VACATION
In working so hard during the year, I am looking forward to a much
needed vacation. Therefore, I am going to leave for Florida on
December 15 for an end of the year vacation with my family and return
on January 2. Please pray that the Lord will give us travelling
mercies during this time.
NO NEWSGROUP UNTIL
EARLY JANUARY
Because of my end of the year vacation to Florida, there will be
no newsgroup until early in the month of January (hopefully prior to
January 10).
Thank you again for making this a blessed year of learning for
the newsgroup and a blessed year for HHMI.
May our newsgroup members have a blessed and joyous holiday
season.
Yours for our Hebraic Heritage in Messiah,
Eddie Chumney
