What will be presented in this article are news repors that Joseph's
Tomb has been burned by the PLO. Next, I will give a Biblical
commentary about the significance of Joseph's Tomb (bones) to the
restoration of both houses of Israel (Ezekiel 37:15-28)

Barak Evacuates Military Outpos

NABLUS, West Bank (AP) - Israel on Saturday pulled its soldiers out of
JOSEPH'S TOMB, a tiny enclave that had come under steady fire from
Palestinian gunmen for the past week. Within hours, Palestinian
civilians -some armed - STORMED THE SITE, SETTING FIRES and trashing
Hebrew texts  and equipment left behind by the army.

In a sign that the violence was spreading, Israeli troops opened fire
on hundreds of rock-throwing Lebanese protesters at the
Israel-Lebanon border, killing one demonstrator and wounding 14,
Lebanese officials said.

Soon after, Lebanese guerrillas fired rockets on Israeli positions at
another part of the border. Lebanese security officials said three
Israeli soldiers had been captured. The Israeli army had no immediate
comment.

It was the bloodiest confrontation along the border since Israel
ended  its 18-year occupation of south Lebanon in May.=20

The pre-dawn evacuation of the tomb enclave in Nablus, ordered by
Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, was the first time Israel
relinquished  territory as a direct result of Palestinian violence.
One Israeli soldier was  shot and wounded during the evacuation.

``We consider this a big victory,'' said Ali Farraj, a local
Palestinian leader. ``It cost us a lot of blood, and we feel proud of
this  victory.''

Six Palestinians and an Israeli border policeman have been killed in
a week of daily gunbattles at the site.

A top BARAK ADVISER said that JOSEPH'S TOMB was simply NOT WORTH
HOLDING any longer, and had become a liability.

``The question is, what interest did we ever have there,'' said Deputy
Defense Minister Ephraim Sneh. ``There was never a political or
military or settlement justification to stay in Joseph's Tomb. Over
the years, the army has protected a small, marginal group that wanted
to use this site as a foothold for settlement in Nablus, that is the
honest truth.''

Still, Barak government ministers were clearly furious with Arafat for
failing to protect the site.

``You can't have war and peace at the same time,'' said Regional
Planning Minister Shimon Peres, a former prime minister who helped
launch the peace process seven years ago. ``If he wants war, it's
another ball game. if he wants peace, he has to reach
conclusions.''

An Israeli border policeman bled to death inside the compound last
weekend, after Palestinian gunmen barred Israeli medics from reaching
the compound for several hours.

Violence across the West Bank and Gaza Strip, sparked by a visit by
hard-line opposition leader Ariel Sharon to a Jerusalem shrine holy to
Muslims and Jews, has so far claimed 80 lives, most Palestinian. Two
Palestinians died early Saturday of injuries sustained in clashes with
Israeli soldiers on Friday.

In announcing the tomb evacuation, the army said Palestinian
authorities promised to protect the site, which is also home to a
Jewish seminary where about 30 students studied during the day. The
students have been barred  from the site since gun battles began last
weekend.

In the tomb area, Palestinian leaders issued calls over megaphones
Saturday, urging the civilians to leave. They went unheeded.

Giggling children emerged from the site wearing hats and flak jackets
that had been left behind. One group set fire to one of the shacks in the
compound and in the domed tomb. Palestinian firefighters doused the
flames. PALESTINIAN teen-agers CLIMBED  atop the TOMB and HIT It with
HAMMERS.

Others ripped apart Hebrew texts. It was unclear if the books were holy
writings, but the army acknowledged that the troops had left some
sacred Hebrew texts behind.

Some Jews believe the site is the tomb of the biblical patriarch,
although most archaeologists ridicule that claim. Some Israelis have denounced
Joseph's Tomb as a superfluous provocation.

The trashing of the compound was likely to contribute to Barak's
increasing political isolation, and make it harder for him to
negotiate a peace  deal.

Barak was weakened politically by far-reaching proposals he made to
Palestinians at the U.S.-sponsored talks at Camp David, in July.

``This is an embarrassing capitulation of the prime minister,'' said
Danny Naveh, a legislator with the opposition Likud party. ``It is a
surrender to Palestinian violence, and the state of Israel will pay a
heavy price  for it.''

Clashes continued Saturday. In Hebron, the site of another tiny Jewish
enclave, troops faced down stone-throwers with rubber bullets, injuring
five.

The withdrawal could help create the conditions that would allow
Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat to order an end to the violence. In
its statement,  the army said ``both sides are committed to save
lives and reduce tensions'' now that the evacuation has been
undertaken.

In Madrid, where he was attending a conference, Arafat described the
evacuation as ''``a good step.''

A Palestinian spokeswoman said the hope was that the evacuation
signaled a new Israeli approach - one that could lead to the
resumption of peace  talks.

``I think that this should be a first step in pulling out all the
Israeli outposts and hopefully all settlements in order not to
maintain a  situation of constant violence and volatility,'' Hanan
Ashrawi told CNN.

         Palestinian mob torches Joseph's tomb after IDF pullout

                 The Israel Defense Forces evacuated its men from
Joseph's tomb in Nablus on Saturday following a pre-arranged
agreement with Palestinian security forces. Despite the agreement,
the Palestinian Authority forces did not prevent thousands of
Palestinian demonstrators from storming the site, following the IDF
evacuation, and setting it on fire.
               
                 "We thought we had partners. It seems that they do
 not exist," said Brigadier General Benny Gantz, commander of IDF
forces in the West Bank, on Saturday, following the destruction of
Joseph's tomb. The site was one of the main battlegrounds in the
violence which erupted in the area 10 days ago, and posed particular
tactical problems for IDF commanders whose men were virtually
isolated. Last week, a Border Guard, Madhet Yosef, bled to death when
Palestinian demonstrators and security forces did not allow the IDF
to evacuate him from Joseph's Tomb.

                 The decision to evacuate the site was taken on Friday
night in a meeting between Prime Minister Ehud Barak, Chief of Staff
Shaul Mofaz, and the head of the Shin Bet internal security service,
Avi Dichter. The two top defense officials strongly recommended that the
13-man force be pulled out from the area.

                 IDF sources said that the evacuation was made
following explicit commitments by the Palestinian Authority security
forces to safeguard the integrity of the holy site. According to the
same sources, Israel had agreed to a temporary withdrawal from the
site in order to avoid further escalation of the violence there.

                 Following the issuing of the orders, a small group of
vehicles entered Nablus in the early morning hours and removed the
troops and all the holy articles from the site. While it was agreed
with the Palestinians that security would be provided for the force,
on its way from Nablus to the settlement of Elon Moreh, the IDF
vehicles came under fire and a Border Guard was injured.

                 After the withdrawal, IDF spotters on the nearby
hills witnessed the storming of the site by thousands of
Palestinians, who looted it and set it on fire. "This was barbaric
behavior," some IDF officers said. Brigadier Gantz was emphatic that
"we did not withdraw from Joseph's tomb because of military pressure,
but because those were our orders, following an agreement. The
agreement was for us to remove our troops so that the Palestinians
could calm the situation." The senior officer added that "we never
saw our mission as killing as many [Palestinians] as possible or
cause as much harm as possible. We tried to use judgment,
professionalism and avoid injuries. That is how we operated
throughout last week. [The relatively] low casualty rate among our
forces does not reflect the huge number of incidents, unprecedented
in intensity."

                 Gantz said that he believes that the situation will
only get worse. "The attack on a holy site and on religious values is
an enormous escalation. This is a situation which can create
significant escalation on the ground," he added.

                 IDF officers said that the Palestinian behavior at
Joseph's Tomb has caused significant damage to their claim that they
can safeguard religious sites, particularly those important to Jews.
The Shin Bet and the IDF are now gravely concerned that Jewish
settlers will react violently to the desecration of Joseph's tomb.
There is a large concentration of extreme right-wingers in the area,
some of whom were members of the yeshiva which was situated at
Joseph's tomb.

On a news report early, they said that the Israeli Army was taking out
of Joseph Tomb as much of the religious artifacts as possible and then
abandoning the Tomb complex.  The past report said that the
Palestinians have taken over, vandalized and are burning the facility.

There was fighting yesterday at the gate to Elon Moreh, this will be
The PA's next objective as Elon Moreh represents the first of all the
settlements in Samaria.

The Arab nations are now going to meet and declare that this is no
longer a Palestinian problem but must be solved by the  united forces
of the Arab nations.

The Tomb of Joseph and Od Yosef Chai, (Joseph Still Lives), the
yeshiva there, were handed over early this morning to the Palestinian
Authority and within a few hours Jibril demonstrators, (who were not
resisted by the PA who had promised to safeguard the holy sites), had
broken inside the tomb and were desecrating it, by URINATING on it,
damaging it and doing other unspeakable acts of DESECRATION.

Yesterday, the Palestinian Authority was given a free reign on the
Temple Mount. I thought I would never live to see such a day. The
Palestinian flag being waved above the Kotel (Western Wall) by Arab
youths, who showered the Kotel with hundreds of rocks, including sharp
shards from slabs of marble the Moslem women were breaking and handing
to their children.

The Kotel had to be evacuated and would-be Orthodox worshippers could
only watch at a distance behind police barricades while those who show
their behinds to the Holy Place while they bow to Mecca were given
their freedom to exercise their "Day of Rage." The Israeli police were
ordered by Barak away from the Mount so as not to "provoke" them to
violence and only Palestinian Authority police supervised the
goings-on above. The "Palestinians" got their way, yet they STILL
showered the Kotel with rocks and insults.  It went on for about an
hour after the Moslem prayers had ended. Then the Palestinian
Authority police asked the youths to come down from their insulting
perches. The area was cleared of rocks.  The barricades were removed
and worshippers were allowed back to the Wall.

PLEASE be in prayer for me tonight
and tomorrow. At 10 a.m. tomorrow I have a meeting with an important
Likud Party member. I am going to talk to him about helping me to get
a PROXY presence (through another Likud member in the Knesset) in the
Knesset to represent the interests of the House of Joseph in the wake
of the violence in the territories of Joseph, the inheritances of
Joseph outside the territories (Israel proper) by Israeli Arabs and
the desecration of the tomb of Joseph.

Over the phone, he was more than intrigued and interested and welcomed
the meeting. He too is outraged.

    BIBLICAL COMMENTARY FROM EDDIE
  

   PENALTY FOR NOT RESPECTING THE SHABBAT

   It is NOT surprising that just WEEKS after Ehud Barak said that he
was going to move forward with his "secular revolution" which included
allowing shopping and transportation on the Shabbath and trying to
make it possible to make available PIG MEAT for consumption in
various places in Israel  (as reported via Arutz-7 news from Israel
which was sent to the newsgroup) that a WAR / HOSTILITIES broke out
in Israel with the enemies of the state.

   In Jeremiah 17:17-29, HaShem gave warning about what would happen
if the Sabbath was not obeyed and the blessing that He would give
unto His people for keeping the Sabbath.

KJV Jeremiah 17:19 Thus said the LORD unto me; Go and stand in the
gate of the children of the people, whereby the kings of Judah come
in, and by the which they go out, and in all the gates of Jerusalem;
20 And say unto them, Hear ye the word of the LORD, ye kings of Judah,
and all Judah, and all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, that enter in by
these gates: 21 Thus saith the LORD; Take heed to yourselves, and
BEAR NO BURDEN on the SABBATH DAY, nor bring it in by the gates of
Jerusalem; 22 Neither carry forth a burden out of your houses on the
sabbath day, neither do ye any work, but HALLOW YE
THE SABBATH day, as I commanded your fathers. 23 But THEY OBEYED NOT,
neither inclined their ear, but made their neck stiff, that they might not hear, nor
receive instruction. 24 And it shall come to pass, IF YE
DILIGENTLY HEARKEN UNTO ME, saith the LORD, to bring in no burden
through the gates of this city on the sabbath day, but HALLOW THE
SABBATH DAY, to do no work therein; 25 THEN shall there enter into

DAVID, riding in chariots and on horses, they, and their princes, the
men of Judah, and the inhabitants of Jerusalem: and this city shall

from the places about Jerusalem, and from the land of Benjamin, and
from the plain, and from the mountains, and from the south, bringing
burnt offerings, and sacrifices, and meat offerings, and incense, and

NOT HEARKEN unto me to HALLOW THE SABBATH DAY, and not to bear a
burden, even entering in at the gates of Jerusalem on the sabbath day;
then will I KINDLE A FIRE in the gates thereof, and it shall devour
the palaces of Jerusalem, and it shall not be quenched."

So, Ehud Barak doesn't want the country of Israel to hallow the
sabbath and weeks later the PLO "kindles a fire" in the land burning
trees and forests and burning JOSEPH'S TOMB.


                   THE BONES OF JOSEPH

    Obviously, the bones of Joseph would be buried in Joseph's tomb.
What is the significance to the bones of Joseph and what is PROPHETIC
of the PLO burning the tomb of Joseph?

   The Bible says that our SPIRITUAL WARFARE is NOT with FLESH AND
BLOOD but with forces in the kingdom of darkness (HaSatan).  In
Ephesians 6:12 it is written:

JV Ephesians 6:12 For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but
against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the
darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places.

     The ROOT of the conflict taking place in the Middle East is a
conflict between the kingdom of darkness (HaSatan who is using the
PLO and the Arab world as his pawns) against the God of Israel and
His people. The Bible says that that which happens in the NATURAL is
a type and picture of what is happening in the SPIRIT.

    In 1 Corinthians 15:46 it is written:

KJV 1 Corinthians 15:46 Howbeit that was not first which is spiritual,
but that which is natural; and afterward that which is spiritual.

    The WAR in the heavenlies which is being played out in the
natural world is a controversy that the kingdom of darkness has
against the God of Israel regarding the covenant that HaShem
made with Abraham and the restoration of both houses of Israel (the
bones of Joseph ... Ezekiel 37:15-28).  The Bible also calls this the
controversy of Zion  ((Isaiah 34:8).

    To show the distaste that the kingdom of darkness
(HaSatan) has for the covenant that HaShem made with Abraham, HaSatan
is stirring up the nations of the world to pressure Israel to give
the PLO a state in the West Bank (which is the SAME land called in
the Bible the "mountains of Israel" (Ezekiel 37:15-22) which is
Biblically deeded to BOTH houses of Israel (the house of Joseph /
Ephraim and the house of Judah). In addition, the kingdom of darkness
is stirring the nations of the world to pressure Israel into making
Jerusalem an international city to be the eventual worldwide capital
of one-world government (Daniel 2, Daniel 7 and Revelation 13). In
doing this, the kingdom of darkness is trying to prevent King Messiah
from ruling and reigning and teaching  the Torah to the nations from
Jerusalem (Isaiah 2:2-4) when HE (King  Messiah) after the TORAH goes
forth from Jerusalem will bring peace to the world by making the
nations "beat their  swords into plowshares and their spears into
pruninghooks".

      The BONES OF JOSEPH is CENTRAL in this end-time
conflict because the BONES OF JOSEPH has a link to the HISTORICAL
REDEMPTION from EGYPT and the FUTURE REDEMPTION of BOTH house of
Israel (Ezekiel 37:15-28)

        REMEMBER THE BONES OF JOSEPH

   Before Joseph died, he gave instruction to the children of Israel
to REMEMBER HIS BONES when HaShem redeems them from Egypt. In Genesis
50:24-26 it is written:

JV Genesis 50:24 And JOSEPH SAID UNTO HIS BRETHREN, I die: and God
will surely visit you, and bring you out of this land unto the land
which he sware to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob. 25 And Joseph took
an oath of the children of Israel, saying, God will surely visit you,
and ye shall CARRY UP MY BONES bones from hence. 26 So Joseph died,
being an hundred and ten years old: and they embalmed him, and he was
put in acoffin in Egypt.


      MOSES TAKES THE BONES OF JOSEPH

   In Exodus 13:19 it is written:

KJV Exodus 13:19 And MOSES TOOK THE BONES OF JOSEPH with him: for he
had straitly sworn the children of Israel, saying, God will surely
visit you; and ye shall carry up my bones away hence with you.

     JOSEPH'S BONES ARE BURIED IN SHECHEM (West Bank)

     When the children of Israel went into the promised land, they
carried the bones of Joseph with them and buried his bones in Shechem
(Nablus) in the West Bank (mountains of Israel). In Joshua 24:1, 32
it is written:

KJV Joshua 24:1 And Joshua gathered all the tribes of Israel to
SHECHEM, and called for the elders of Israel, and for their heads, and
for their judges, and for their officers; and they presented
themselves before God.

KJV Joshua 24:32 And the BONES OF JOSEPH, which the children of Israel
brought up out of Egypt, buried they in SHECHEM, in a parcel of ground
which Jacob bought of the sons of Hamor the father of Shechem for an
hundred pieces of silver: and it became the inheritance of the
children of Joseph.


        THE MESSIAH LEADS JOSEPH LIKE A FLOCK

   The shepherd of Israel (Messiah) was prophecied to lead Joseph
(the house of Joseph) like a flock. Christianity identifies Yeshua /
Jesus as being the "good shepherd".  

In John 10:10, Messiah says:

KJV John 10:11 I am the good shepherd: the good shepherd giveth his
life for the sheep.

KJV Psalm 80:1 {To the chief Musician upon Shoshannimeduth, A Psalm of
Asaph.} Give ear, O Shepherd of Israel, thou that leadest Joseph like
a flock ...

                   RACHEL WEEPS FOR HER CHILDREN

   When a mother (Rachel) witnesses hardship that happens to her son (the
desecration of Joseph's tomb) most mothers are usually in tears. 
Rachel (the mother of Joseph) is prophecied to WEEP for HER
CHILDREN (the house of Joseph) and she is REFUSED to be COMFORTED
because of their calamity. In Jeremiah 31:15 it is written:

KJV Jeremiah 31:15 Thus saith the LORD; A voice was heard in Ramah,
lamentation, and bitter weeping; Rahel weeping for her children
refused to be comforted for her children, because they were not.


                   THERE IS HOPE IN YOUR END

    Rachel gets comforted when her children return to their border
(the mountains of Israel). This is the Messianic redemption /
Ingathering of the exiles or the restoration of both houses of
Israle. In Jeremiah 31:16-17 it is written:

KJV Jeremiah 31:16 Thus saith the LORD; REFRAIN thy voice FROM
WEEPING, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded,
saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the LAND OF THE ENEMY.
17 And THERE IS HOPE  in thine end, saith the LORD, that THY CHILDREN
shall come again to their OWN BORDER. (the mountains of Israel / West
Bank).

                  THE HOUSE OF JOSEPH A FLAME

         In most wars, there is a defining moment in time which
becomes the "battle cry" to "rally the troops" that defines the
turning point in winning a war. Time will prove that the desecration
of Joseph's tomb, the setting on fire of Joseph's tomb and yes, there
were even reports of urinating on Joseph's tomb will be the POINT IN
TIME when the SPARK OF FIRE was set to INITIATE (begin a PROCESS) for
the reunification between the house of Joseph / Ephraim and the
house of Judah to the mountains of Israel (West Bank) (Ezekiel
37:15-28).

      The ONLY GROUP in the WORLD who is showing sympathy with Judah
during her time of travail are Bible believing Christians (Ephraim /
house of Jospeh) who embrace  Torah, have a love for Jerusalem and
the land that was promised to  Abraham. As things get DARKER and
DARKER in the world, JUDAH will  begin to recognize the FLAME (light)
of Joseph / Ephraim for Torah,  the land and for his brother Judah.

      JUDAH CANNOT OVERCOME ESAU UNTIL the HOUSE OF JOSEPH becomes a
FLAME in the battle. In Obadiah verse 21 is says:

JV Obadiah 1:17 But upon MOUNT ZION shall be DELIVERANCE, and there
shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their
possessions. 18 And the house of Jacob shall be a fire, and the HOUSE
OF JOSEPH A FLAME, and the HOUSE OF ESAU FOR STUBBLE, and they shall
kindle in them, and devour them; and there shall not be any remaining
of the house of Esau; for the LORD hath spoken it.

     NOT UNTIL the house of Joseph become a FLAME and a FIRE and
JOINS with the house of Judah iin UNITY can the house  of ESAU become
a STUBBLE.

     In order for this to happen, the BONES OF JOSEPH MUST LIVE !!!!

                              CAN THESE BONES LIVE ??

     The tomb of Joseph has been desecrated. The enemy is showing
distaste for the bones of Joseph coming ALIVE so he has used his
pawns in the natural world (the PLO) to URINATE on the bones of
Joseph. Is the HOUSE OF JOSEPH OUTRAGED that the tomb of their father
has been desecrated? Can the bones of Joseph live? In Ezekiel 37:1-3,
9-12 it is written:

    KJV Ezekiel 37:1 The hand of the LORD was upon me, and carried me out
in the spirit of the LORD, and set me down in the midst of the valley
which was full of bones, 2 And caused me to pass by them round about:
and, behold, there were very many in the open valley; and, lo, they
were very dry. 3 And he said unto me, Son of man, can these bones
live?

9 Then said he unto me, Prophesy unto the wind, prophesy, son of man, and say
to the wind, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Come from the four winds, O
breath, and breathe upon these slain, that they may live. 10 So I
prophesied as he commanded me, and the breath came into them, and they
lived, and stood up upon their feet, an exceeding great army. 11 Then
he said unto me, Son of man, these bones are the WHOLE HOUSE OF
ISRAEL: behold, they say, Our bones are dried, and our hope is lost:
we are cut off for our parts. 12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, O my people, I will open your graves,
and cause you to come up out of your graves, and bring you into the
land of Israel.
   
               WHO IS THE WHOLE HOUSE OF ISRAEL?

    The WHOLE house of Israel is the house of Joseph / Ephraim and
the house of Judah. In Ezekiel 37:15-19 it is written:

KJV Ezekiel 37:15 The word of the LORD came again unto me, saying, 16
Moreover, thou son of man, take thee ONE STICK, and write upon it, For
JUDAH, and for the children of Israel his companions: then take
ANOTHER STICK, and write upon it, For JOSEPH, the stick of Ephraim,
and for all the house of Israel his companions: 17 And join them one
to another into one stick; and they shall become one in thine hand. 18
And when the children of thy people shall speak unto thee, saying,
Wilt thou not shew us what thou meanest by these? 19 Say unto them,
Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I will take the stick of Joseph,
which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel his fellows,
and will put them with him, even with the stick of Judah, and make
them one stick, and they shall be one in mine hand.

     
 THE BONES OF JOSEPH TO BE TAKEN TO THE MOUNTAINS OF ISRAEL      

      The descendents of Joseph are now in the nations of the world
(their graves). However, God said that the house of Joseph would
become a flame and the WIND (Ruach HaKodesh) would BLOW on them bones
and cause them to come alive (want to follow Torah, the Sabbath, the
Biblical Festivals, love Jerusalem, Judah and the land of Israel) and
would cause them to return to the land. In Ezekiel 37:12, 21-22 it is
written:

KJV Ezekiel 37:12 Therefore prophesy and say unto them, Thus saith the

INCITEMENT TO KILL JEWS

In Tehran, thousands of Iranians chanted "death to Israel" and burned
Israeli flags in a rally on Thursday in support of what they called a
new Palestinian intifada (uprising).

Egyptian Islamic militant Sheikh Omar Abdel-Rahman, jailed for life
for his part in a plot to bomb buildings in New York, has called on
all Muslims to kill Jews everywhere. The blind cleric is the spiritual
leader of Egypt's largest Islamic militant group, al-Gama'a
al-Islamiya (Islamic Group), which gained infamy in 1997 for the
massacre of 58 foreign tourists and four Egyptians at a tourist site
in Luxor.

"I call on Islamic scholars to play their role and issue a collective
fatwa (religious edict) urging the Islamic nation to fight and kill
Jews everywhere," the influential Egyptian cleric said in a statement,
dictated to Reuters by a London-based Islamic pressure group on
Thursday.

Judean Voice Commentary:

The only answer to the Arab violence in Israel and to the death
threats of the local Islamic terrorists is to recreate a  Jewish Legion.

An emergency meeting to announce the recreation of the Jewish Legion
will be held after the Yom Kippur fast, Monday night, at 9:30 PM, at
the Hatikva Jewish Center, 1090 Coney Island Ave. Brooklyn, N.Y.
